Our Projects
What we're working on:
Ending Statelessness Through Education (ESTE)
Doing What’s Needed
ESTE is the first program proposed by the Blum Family Foundation, called Ending Statelessness Through Education.
Given the ability to speak, read, and write English, Burmese, and Rohingya, as well as basic code, child refugees will grow into adults who are sought after for their skills and may be far more likely to earn citizenship in some destination country. With a fully staffed educational system and appropriate resources, we seek to end the cycle of permanent statelessness. If the program is successful, the Blum Foundation will seek to repeat the efforts globally with the goal of ending permanent statelessness for refugee populations.
Documentary: "Blossoms from Ash"
Raising Global Awareness
Our team recently finished postproduction of a documentary film intended to show Western audiences and the world just how desperate the conditions are in the Rohingya refugee camps, and why this intentional act of genocide occurred. We followed 3 children as they struggle to learn, play, and celebrate Eid Al-Adha in August 2018.
